About Us:
First, we do not accept every project presented to us. First and foremost in our criteria for project selection is the justification for the project. We must believe in the principal or product we photograph. While shooting weddings is a high profit business, we don't advertise or solicit weddings.
For example, a fundraising photography session for a PTA or a non-profit charity organization is a prime candidate for our talents. Past projects in this arena include "Reaching for the Stars" with Special Olympics of Tennessee, "The Tennessee Truck Show" with Crossroads For Hope, and the annual fundraiser for Soul of America. Possibilities for fundraisers include "Breakfast with Santa" and our 5 foot tall Easter basket.
Bio:
Anne has a love of children. Her background is in education, having taught special education for over 15 years. Children immediately love her. Fussy babies become putty in her hands. Her genuine love for children enables her to capture the best smiles your child can give. Anne has a creative eye for the perfect shot, giving you a memory that will last a lifetime.
Don's expertise is in the technical side of the photography business. His first pictures were taken at age 7 with a 110 format camera. During high school, he served on the high school annual staff as photographer, shooting with a Yashica 35mm SLR. When the personal pc became available, Don began using a hand held color scanner to digitize his 35mm pictures, and enhanced the photographs using the early digital editing software.
When Anne and Don decided to form their 'location based digital' photography business, they founded it on the premise that photography should be affordable and that memorable treasures should be delivered in a timely fashion. Their philosophy was a trend setting idea in our modern day world of 'instant gratification'.
People ask, "Where is your studio?" An event photographer takes their studio where ever they go. There is much more talent and creativity used by event photographers. In a 'portrait' studio, the photographer shoots the same canned shots day in and day out, giving his customers a limited choice of backgrounds. It is a simple task to turn on the equipment in a studio, pose a subject, and produce a canned and posed portrait. Same lighting, same poses, day in, day out, year after year.
We bring our studio to our clients; lighting, backdrops and props. Proofing is available as we shoot, so we know that we have the perfect shots. Give us a call to schedule your 'location based' photography session.
